The Monthly Sequence

There is a saying that goes around many fitness and wellness communities: “any idiot can make another idiot tired”. This saying exists because unhelpful direction is often given in the wellness arena and equally exists in the field of yoga.
This is why any program that you follow should be well thought-out, safe and clearly show progression.
We achieve this by presenting you with a solid sequence each month that is carefully designed to target specific areas of your body. It is built by very experienced teachers and follows the tried and tested principles of yoga.
You can visit the sequece occassionally to complement your other routines or embody the sequence so that it becomes a moving meditation which will strengthen your body from the inside out. You’ll be able to see and feel your progression throughout the month.

In addtion, you will have access to an on-demand video which not only introduces the monthly sequence but also provides options (modifications) so that you can practice safely according to your ability or even explore deepening some of the postures.
Yogis who have subscribed to a monthly membership will have access to our classes on-demand.

On-Demand vs Live

Accountability | Sharing the Experience | Getting Real-time Feedback

On demand are pre-recorded videos that students play in their own time. These are useful when traveling or wishing to practice at different times. We offer these for all our classes, however our minds can be very powerful at talking us out of doing the work we want to do; offering delaying tactics so that we stick to what’s comfortable. Therefore, on demand classes can require a lot more on-going motivation and don’t really engage at the same level as having a live class with a teacher.

Live classes are streamed in real-time. Here at Life Design Yoga this is our onus because of the successful results it brings to our students. This method creates commitment, connection and accountability, as the student and teacher get real time feedback. You could say, with a live class that half the battle is already won by showing-up on the mat. You’re now much more committed to follow-through and work at the instructed pace and focus. Mental distractions are minimised and it trains your mind to be fully present with the experience at hand (a training that you learn to take with you for the rest of your day).

Our live classes give a strong, supportive and engaging energy and an experience that can be shared with friends and colleagues. Not to mention, it’s a lot more enjoyable!
